Description

This issue looks at the issues of climate change and eco-anxiety, focusing on fresh therapeutic perspectives on the topics. Articles cover how therapists can give practical, meaningful support to clients who are suffering from anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems that arise from living through climate change. Pieces offer practical tools to help clients cope, explore how the way we think about connection and relationships can play a pivotal role in reverse-engineering the climate crisis, examine climate change as a possible Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE), and look at how interpersonal conflicts about environmental choices require a unique approach to boundary-setting. Other pieces include a personal story of loss and the neuroscience of grief, what to know if your therapeutic expertise is requested in court, and an introduction to video intervention therapy.
