Polyvagal Theory is a relative newcomer to the field of mental healthcare, and as such is not widely recognized or implemented across public health initiatives and delivery of care. However, Polyvagal theory contains important elements that can enhance the delivery of public mental healthcare. Come learn why PVT is not widely adopted in the public (i.e., Medicaid) mental health system and what innovative clinicians are doing to implement the principles of the autonomic nervous system and Polyvagal theory into clinical practice on a public healthcare level.
